Polly, I Miss You
Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Last Friday, the 21st of March, my little spitfire, bundle of love and joy passed away to spend eternity with her’ maker.  While she and Koda, our other dog, were out  exploring and “making the rounds” she mistakenly went out on the ice on our pond which was now receding from the edges in some parts.  She fell in to the water and swam to shore but was unable to get up on top of the ice shelf surrounding the shore.  Poor girl, I wish I could have been there for you.  Polly was eight years old, born in September 2000.  I am thankful she died doing what she loved to do and that I never had to put her to sleep later on in life.  I pray it was quick with minimal pain and that she just fell asleep to then awake at God’s feet ready to go on another journey.

Polly you were always there for me.  We shared so many tough times together and went on so many fun journey’s together.  Back country backpacking, snow shoeing and snow camping, you always wanted to go and see more despite your short legs.  I thank God for the gift you were in my life.  Thank you for the endless love you gave me and that I never faced my trials and fears alone.  You were always be my side or sitting on my lap.  Thank you for being so good to me, I miss you dearly old girl.  Keep on the lookout for all the UPS trucks up there and I will be with you soon.
