Maiden Voyage!

Breaking news!  Last night around 9:17 PM US Mountain Standard Time Frank, the first interstellar Go Kart of his’ kind, was launched into the great abyss outside the Simmerman Compound Laboratory in which he was created.  With only minor difficulties painting and reassembly (and also with no control cables), Frank breathed his’ first breath of life and set fourth on a long journey of toting large adult sized children around.  15 feet later the engineers had discovered that the gear ratio wasn’t set correctly or the off chance they were possibly too fat.  With Frank’s weight and the two over grown men his’ little power plant 5H motor was pushing 575 lbs. in 3rd or 4th gear.  Needless to say Frank’s clutch was a little warm after trying to move the heavy load.

The fix;  A 72 tooth sprocket (vs. 62 tooth) was ordered to hopefully lower the gearing so it would simulate something more like 1st or 2nd gear.  The engineers also discussed adding another engine with another clutch and beef it up to 10H in the future.  That way the engineers could ride too.
